In this version the three-dimensional cast is painted in the standard Saint Helices scheme of color and chiaroscuro. My basic intention was to recreate version 67 on a three-dimensional surface. I believe this painting was a greater technical challenge to paint than version 67 because of the innate topography of the surface which I had to navigate in and around. This particular version represents both, an acknowledgement of what was, and a foray into what is to come.
