This more graphically-styled painted version was painted during the time I had returned in full to printmaking--see versions P1C, P2C, P3C in the Drawings and Prints Gallery.

This painting was conceived and executed as an exercise in monochromatic under painting and subsequently applied color glazes. The application of the brushwork is a slight departure from the meticulously blended passages of Saint Helices 67. However, this remains a sacred heart, chapter and verse, version of the Saint Helices composition in its own right.
