Saint Helices 44, 14" x 11", watercolor, 1992. Artist's collection.
Here I have switched back to the more slanted composition. What were once the nebulous ellipses have returned in a more schematic form. These ellipses are plotted by points (stars) which are apparent in their rendering but they are for the most part linear forms painted with gold metallic acrylic paint. The "front" of the ellipses are rendered with a continuous line and the "back" half of the forms are rendered with a broken line to illustrate their spatial orientation to the picture plane.
