Saint Helices 33, 12" x 9", watercolor, 1992. Private collection.

In this version I have doubled the number of stars in the star pattern which initiates at, and follows the form of the nebulous ellipses. I have added another star pattern which is circular in its radiating movement and initiates at the specific pictorial point where the 3-D ellipse forms engage the nebulous ellipse forms. This is to visually suggest that the "event" of their physical engagement would create a ripple similar to an object's effect on a liquid surface. The lower-central form still maintains the brushwork technique in concert with toned washes of pigment.
