Saint Helices 21, 8" x 6", watercolor, 1992. Private collection.

I reestablished the integrity of the line delineating the areas but pursued the bleeding technique within the lower central area.

The narrative aspect of the composition was still an issue of concern to me. This version brought that issue to the fore again. If the lower central area of the composition infers a wave of "personas" or "energy units" then what are their physical characteristics? I have never succeeded in answering that (misleading) question. This version is one of my favorite attempts at directly pursuing the narrative aspect of the composition.
