Good And Evil, 40" x 30", conte on paper, 1984. Private collection.

This drawing began as an exclusively linear blind drawing. I am very pleased with its finished state, but the purist in me has to admit that I reworked and embellished the elements of the original blind drawing nearly beyond recognition. The intriguing element of this composition is that the figure is composed of two heads facing in opposing directions. The head facing the left of the picture plane is the original drawing. The head facing the right of the picture plane was added later along with all of the tonal modeling without the blindfold. The multi-persona scheme emanating from a single figure is a direct visual quote from the Three Faces painting also exhibited in this gallery.
