It is important to point out here that these "dream paintings" of mine are "interpretations" of images which were presented to me while in a vivid dream state, and later recreated in the studio. When this happens, it is always an exciting experience as a process in making in image. However, it is a distinctly different experience from consciously conceptualizing and executing an image in a fully-conscious state. When recreating "dream paintings" my conscious participation in creating the image is of a dubious nature. But the risk of taking responsibility for the baffling images of one's unconscious is part of the intrigue of bringing these images into actual form.
