It is important to point out here that these "dream paintings" of mine are "interpretations" of images which were presented to me while in a vivid dream state, and later recreated in the studio. When this happens, it is always an exciting experience as a process in making in image. However, it is a distinctly different experience from consciously conceptualizing and executing an image in a fully-conscious state. When recreating "dream paintings" my conscious participation in creating the image is of a dubious nature. But the risk of taking responsibility for the baffling images of one's unconscious is part of the intrigue of bringing these images into actual form.

In this case the dream image (from left to right in triptych format) was composed of:

• --a crucifixion of an abstract/extra-terrestrial form
• --a Renoir landscape
• --two people at a table having a conversation
• --abstractions of figures emanating from their forms
• --those emanations integrated with the landscape which includes a man-made pool of water which reflects the foliage and sky
